This request seeks to remedy the shortcomings in last month's hearing. We understand the importance of the make allowance to the economic survival of our Class III and IV customers. Amending the make allowance for Class III and IV is justifiable because the federal order's pricing system does not allow these processors to recover their costs from the marketplace. We also know that an increase in the make allowance lowers dairy farmer incomes. So, on behalf of our farmers, we need to minimize that impact.
