MCI WorldCom is made up of so many large companies in their own right that they all have a bad habit of blaming a different unit. When I have a problem and call, for example, the MFS unit, they tell me its UUNet's fault. When I call UUNet, they send me back to MFS. I'm not surprised that they were so disingenuous with this problem.
