I was real pleased with his (Larson) performance.
Lee has been working hard this year. Hopefully he can improve and get some places.
She is making some big strides in bringing her time down.
She could potentially get there before the end of the season. She was four seconds faster than she was in Gillette. She improved from her last time running and it's a matter of getting more experience and running more races.
She had a good day. Her discus mark was a personal best for her.
So for both teams we have a lot better balance than we have had in the past. We have more areas covered and so hopefully compete in every event. Not only have someone in the event but have some decent quality.
She's only about 41/2 inches from the automatic.
I am really happy with the way they have been participating in that role and taking on that for the team and that is a real positive for us.
Her (Sperry) time will come down. We haven't had a chance to work on them a lot with some of the weather.
We took 52 kids to the meet. I saw some good things that we can definitely build off of. We treated this meet kind of like a workout meet. The team ran a lot of different individual events.
He (Cordell) is right where he should be. He is jumping well and I think he is going to continually improve.
He has been injured lately and just getting back into it. This was his first meet (this season) and I think he's got a good shot of getting into that (auto) range.
I think (Marta) can do some good things this year.
I think (Martens) can improve and be more competitive at the state level.
Josh is right on the verge and just needs to make that next height to get that provisional. He is consistent right now which is a big improvement from last year.
I think we need to work on some base conditioning and getting into meet shape. More competitions will help with that as well.
I think it is just a matter of time before he (Olson) gets that qualification. He's a lot more consistent this year.
Trevor really stepped up and threw really well at the state meet. This year I would like him to be more consistent throughout the year at that level and continue to get a little better each week.
We have a few freshman out that I think are going to be okay. It's going to take a little time for them to develop.
We have a tough conference to compete in but we definitely have some individuals that can do very well in the conference and hopefully the balance will help the team side of it more.
We hope to compete better in the conference and state meets. Some added depth and experience should help the team.
We had a good start and we just need to build on that and keep working.
They ran pretty well. I was happy with that and I think we can still take some time off of that. I know they can drop that down and be competitive (at State).
Practices are going well - they are working hard. We have got in some good workouts and made some gains but we are also getting a little beat up with the shin splints because of the hard surface and tight corners.
They are kind of the backbone for our throwers.
They were cheering for each other and holding blocks and carrying sweats. The team aspect was really good at the meet. I think that will pay off throughout the season.
They were able to compete very well and did some good things. It's one of those meets you go into and you don't really know what is going to happen, but for the most part what did happen was positive.
Allison is running really well for us right now.
They are both competing really well right now and have gotten off to a good start.
There were some good things that happened and I am pleased with where we are at right now.
