It comes down to wrapping up. There were some plays there we didn't wrap up. We set our stage for what we wanted. We went down and scored, but we just couldn't close the deal. The kids fought back. We drove the ball down the field. It just wasn't meant to be. I give the kids credit. They played hard, and they played with enthusiasm. We will come back from this. There is no doubt in my mind. The kids are resilient. They will bounce back.

When you see how many times we rushed consecutively, that says a lot about our kids will, and they went out and willed their way to a win and there is nothing more you can say about it.

When you see our drives, we took them the length of the field, converted third downs and converted inside the red zone, which was something we struggled on in some of the other big games we have played this year.

Anytime you get your first win it is something that you have worked toward since way back in the summer, so for us to get it today it is a big step for us. Our backs are against the wall starting 0-2. Our kids responded well. They came ready to play. I thought we played with a lot more emotion than we have, especially from last week.

I don't really pretend to be the same person I was when I wrote the record. I don't think the band is the same, either.

College did kind of inspire it. I'm a little bit far removed from it now.
