I work with a charity called Donate My Dress. It's got chapters all over the country where you can donate special-occasion dresses. Prom is a big deal when you're 15 years old, and it enables girls who don't have the money to come in and choose something special.

In California, I do like to just chill out and go to the beach, but I love the energy here. I feel very productive when I'm in New York.

I am certainly not perfect. I don't think you should try to be perfect for anyone. When you come to terms with that, then you're OK.

I would have loved to do 'Alice in Wonderland.' Being a 'Bond' girl would always be fun. We had a lot of action in 'Eclipse' and I'd definitely like to continue down the action road. I want to do a romantic period piece, but those are really hard to get made because they're very expensive and there's not a huge demographic.

Growing up my whole life, my mom was telling me how incredible and special I was and that I was going to change the world. I think it's important for girls to know that they can change the world, that they do have an impact.

I just finished 'Butter' for Weinstein, a comedy with this incredible cast - Hugh Jackman, Olivia Wilde, Alicia Silverstone - all-star cast and it was a fun set to be on. I've gotten really lucky to get all these down-to-earth cast members. 'Butter''s about butter carving in Iowa.

I did side planks for my obliques, which are one of my trouble areas. And traditional planks tone your back so you don't have that little bit of fat hanging over your bra. Ugh!

'Twilight' has ruined me. When this is all over, flying internationally is going to be very hard for me. It is just not worth it to buy a first-class ticket, because of the cost.

I live a dual life. On the red carpet, it's complete glam. But at home, I'm a jeans and T-shirt kind of girl. Simple can be beautiful.

Don't throw petals on the floor if they have no meaning. I would rather have a fun, casual relationship than have someone pretending they're completely in love with me.

I hate jealous guys! Everyone can be jealous. We all have that in us. Push the demon down or it's going to drive the other person away.

When I was a kid I did marshal arts, and then I did all-star crazy competitive cheer and dance, and then I swam so I was very muscular. You know, healthy, but not quite as thin as I am.

I was working at a restaurant, I booked the role in 'Twilight,' put in my two weeks' notice, got fitted, flew to Portland, filmed, and then it started getting hype. That helped me get my foot into certain doors before the movie even came out.

I went to a public high school with a magnet program for law and psychology. But right before my junior year, I decided that I wanted to leave and become an actress, so I graduated early and moved out to L.A.

Sometimes I wish I could just go back to Florida and, like, date my home-town boyfriend. It's really frustrating whenever I can't go and do something because I know it's going to be on the internet.

You can't control the paparazzi. But if you go to Coachella you're going to get photographed. Whereas if you're at home, walking down the street you probably won't. It's something I've learnt to navigate my way around but I try to keep my private life private.

I go through stages. Randomly, I'll be attracted to a crazy rocker with tattoos. And I find that I'm extremely attracted to ambition and wit.

Acting is a smaller piece in a big puzzle. There are charity things I want to immerse myself in and want to have the time to go and give back to people who don't have the opportunities I have. It's a very important thing to me.

I remember my first acting class: I was like, 'That's it.' If I know that I want to do something then I'm going to do it and there's no stopping me, whether it's if I want to take a movie part or don't, or eat sushi for lunch or don't. There's always a very clear goal. Once I figure out what I want that's it.

A lot of people like to be supertiny, but I don't want a child's body - I want a woman's body that is extremely fit. It's so much sexier.

I think it's better that life is kind of like a mystery, I think that's what drives us.

You need someone who is going to help you make that better version of yourself.

I honestly don't have a lot of friends that are actors. Most of my friends I've known since sixth grade and are out of the industry. It gives me a sense of reality rather than surrounding myself with a bunch of actors.

As an actor you want people to know you and there are times you want your pictures taken, but it's unnerving to walk out of a venue with friends and there are 20 people flashing lights in your face. Do you know how bright those lights are?

I focus on having a feminine body, a dancer's body. I do resistance and dance and cardio. I like hiking, swimming, being active. It clears your mind and it's a good way to decompress.

I have a certain way of thinking where I see something, and I know that I want it and I make up my mind - and that's pretty much all there is to it. It was like, This is what I want to do, and I'm going, and everything's going to work out. I'm going to be an actress. There was no way around it.

Skinny jeans are usually my go to jean. I do bootleg every once in a while, boyfriend jeans I feel like are so hard to pull off! Skinny jeans are very easy and you can kind of pair anything with them and it will work: heels and boots or nice top or flouncy top.

I don't have anything saying, 'I'm going to do this many new films, and this many comedies.' But, it's always exciting for me, whenever it is a new character and something I haven't done before, and that's part of what draws me to it.

I'm always changing. I still have the same morals and values and foundation of who I was, growing up in Jacksonville, FL, but I'm such a different person from who I was when I was 17. You live and you learn and you grow.

I'm lucky because my dad taught me to be frugal and save. And that's important because I want to know that I don't have to take an acting job for two or three years if I don't want to and that I'll still be able to make my house and car payments and buy food for my dogs.

In my second year in Los Angeles, when I was eighteen, I wasn't getting any bookings, so I stopped going out, stopped partying. It was a matter of getting to the work. I had to focus.

You know, my brother won't walk out of a restaurant with me anymore because he doesn't want to be linked to me as my new 'mystery man.' Same with my close guy friends.

I wanted to be a lawyer. I realized I don't really want to be a lawyer. I want to play a lawyer. Thank God I figured that out.

I've gotten very good at detaching whenever I have to go away for three months, which I realize is hard on friends and kind of selfish.

'Twilight' is a phenomenon. And I'm so happy it's all captured on film. It's going to be something I'll always look back on, for sure.

What 'Twilight' gave me was years to consider how I wanted to work otherwise.

Yeah, I get to fight in 'Eclipse.' My trainer is teaching me MMA right now. So. Cool.

But I don't do the diet thing anymore. I'm a big believer in feeding your body what it needs. Deny yourself something and you're going to end up shoving your face full of it.

Comedy is something that I'm definitely looking to get into. I had a little taste of it and I do intend on going to classes for it because I think it's a different muscle, and it's hard to find female comedians.

I did four independent films during the break between 'Twilight' and 'New Moon.' I haven't even really had time to sit back and process it all. But when you do finally sit back and think about it, it's incredible.

I'm doing something called 'Olivia Twisted,' that will start next year. There may be something in between, but right now, that's the one that I'm slated to do next year. That's a very ultra-modern version of 'Oliver Twist,' and it's female-driven. It's an action film, and it's kind of dark and gritty.

I really would love to do a piece like Julia Roberts or Charlize Theron in 'Erin Brockovich' or 'North Country.' They were both so amazing and so inspiring. I would love to touch someone in the way their performances touched me.

I want to play a role of a 24-year-old woman, not 17-year-old girls. So I have picked a couple of films like 'Butter' to show that. And it's perfectly fine not to do anything for a year if I don't find the right thing.

I'm an actor, so sometimes there are moments where I think about everything that's happening and I want to cry. I'm doing what I love and I will be doing it for a very, very long time - and it's amazing. A lot of people don't get to do that.

I've definitely been in relationships where I've given too much, and I've been in relationships where I haven't given enough. I think it's a work in progress. I have to find that person where it clicks.

My style has definitely evolved. When I first started out I think I was a little all over the place and the clothes kind of wore me rather than the other way round. But now I'm at the point where I'm comfortable dressing for me, I know what works and what I like.

Plenty of Disney kids are perfectly normal and love what they do. But you always hear about the people who aren't doing well. It's kind of like the squeaky wheel.

When I was growing up, I cheered and danced and ran and stuff like that. I'm probably thinner now than I was in high school. I had a lot of muscle - a LOT of muscle in high school. I kind of started with this foundation, and tried to do all the research I could do for Alice [Cullen], and then every time a [new] director would come in, they have their own artistic take on things and add in new elements. And a lot of times they would ask, "What did you love that you portrayed, and what do you wish that you could show?" So I felt, with each installment, I got the opportunity to add on something. I think she was very - you know, really sweet, [laughs] a little odd in the first installment.

I would spar with the boys at school. This guy I had a crush on, we called him Spitfire -- I gave him a bloody nose and lip, so needless to say the romance did not work out!

It's exciting to kind of move forward and take hold of the opportunity that "Twilight's" afforded us, but it's also kind of sad.

If you are going to be with someone all the time, they need to be your best friend.

As a Mark brand ambassador, I became extremely cognizant of the devastating statistics about dating abuse and partner violence via the mPowerment campaign and knew I wanted to help change those statistics. mPowerment by Mark and the Avon Foundation for Women funded the No More study, which explored dating abuse, partner violence, and sexual assault. I was honored to be part of it and report the results of the survey in a Capitol Hill briefing.

[Mackenzie Foy] is really a fantastic actress and she's very professional, but she is still a kid and that's really nice to see, whenever there is a balance and they're able to have fun and play on set, but still go home and hang out with friends her age. I was really impressed with her. I think the biggest change for us is that we had a "swear jar." And she was rich - she made more money than us.

I have a martial arts background and I'm very athletic. So I think if I can find a film where a female is a badass in it - that would just be amazing. They are sometimes hard to find, but I definitely want to do something like that.

We are so used to not having kids around [on Twilight] that we had to really make an effort to try and edit our language.

I think my mom gets weirded out, sometimes, by people knowing so much about me or people always asking questions.

When I met [Robert Pattinson], he literally didn't make any impression on me. He's quiet, and he's not very outgoing.

My mom is really great with me and for me, because I think she makes an effort to make sure there is some normalcy in my life, and her and my dad don't really treat me any differently.

But as far as the fame goes, my parents make sure they keep me grounded, for sure. They make me wash dishes still.

Except, I think, it's more about me growing up and becoming an adult that I have this new best-friend type of relationship with my mom.

I think the rapid rate at which people started caring and paying attention, because it's just something that I don't think you can really prepare for - there's no textbook on it. Just the amount of interest that people have in me and Alice and the "Twilight" series and the rest of my cast.

I feel like there is never enough, and it's interesting to me because I don't think I'm that interesting. I can definitely bring something to the table, but it's just always incredible our fans are so dedicated and interested in what we are doing.

At some point if you had gone into all of our stories in depth that would've just kind of been all over the place.

You need to keep everyone wanting more. Every character has so much depth, and there was so much thought that went into it, but it would've taken away at some point from the main story, and everything I think kind of was woven together really beautifully, so that you cared about everyone, and everyone had their own story, but everything helped the main plotline.

I'm not going to get drunk at a bar. There are younger girls who look up to me. So I do my best not to stray too far.

I worked with and became close with these characters [in Twilight] and the people who are portraying them and it's kind of, I think, a safety net that we had, and it's going to be kind of strange not going back to set with these people that I've become so familiar with.

I feel like, after Renesmee, Alice cullen would want to go get her own baby - her and Jasper. And I definitely think that she would be constantly with Renesmee, and taking her out shopping and dressing her up and that whole thing. But I think, maybe, it would give her the itch to wanna find a baby.

Throughout the course [of Twilight], you get to see a little more of her vampiric side, because I think she's this vampire with a heart of gold and so that was kind of fun - to show her be a little tough and a little fierce, and to show that she has a little bit of a sassy side when she's dealing with the wolves or with Jacob. So I feel like I got to really round [Alice Cullen] out quite nicely.

I was really, really, really nervous when I got this role because I did feel it was important to make Alice [Cullen] just as lovable as I read her being on paper and, kind of, full of vitality. In my head she is just this light and breath of fresh air in very dramatic settings - because I feel like we're always extremely dramatic in this film. I wanted people to be able to relate to her.

I feel like Alice Cullen probably could do it in her sleep, because she was always surrounded by a vampire.

Alice Cullen had more vampire interaction, for sure, than human interaction. I think she was kind of amped to finally get to play a vampire, so she was good to go.

There's a pretty epic battle "Part 2" of Twilight. It's really involved and it took us a few weeks to film it, because there was so many of us and it was such a large, massive war. I think they're really gonna love that. I feel like we've been working up to this the whole series and there was a bit of confrontation, but you never really got to see all the vampires go full force.

I honestly haven't seen a lot people since we wrapped, really, but it's one of those things when you don't see someone for three months and then you pick right back up where you left off. I think Twilight is very special circumstance, and a special thing to be a part of, so there's this weird connection to have.

Hollywood is so small that everyone has either worked with someone or knows someone who knows someone and so it was kind of easy and fun. And I think there's something exciting about being, like, "Hey! Welcome to the set!" and making everyone feel welcome, and making it fun, 'cause everybody knows what it's like to be the new kid.

When it comes to fashion, I love skinny jeans, a simple top, and a great handbag.

When it comes to beauty, I'm all about lashes right now.

I've definitely learned more about myself through experimentation over the years - which products work best for my skin and tricks from various makeup artists I've been lucky enough to work with.

Honestly, I just try to drink lots of water and get a decent amount of sleep!

I feel like everyone kind of knew someone, like 6 degrees of separation. In Hollywood that is very common.

I think exercising and eating fairly clean does wonders for your skin.

I travel a lot so I do everything I can to keep my skin fresh and hydrated. Whenever I fly, I make sure I have a clean face so I can give my skin a break.

That was an amazing time period [ CBGB filming] to transport to during filming - the clothes, the music, the lifestyle - it really helps to get into character when there's so much that changes from the moment you step onto the set.

[Alice Cullen] disappears for a little bit to go gather some people to help the cause, but when she comes back she is definitely very present and, yeah, I had a lot of fun doing that.

Kellan [Lutz] and I were really the closest, and he and I have been really good friends before "Twilight" even happened - we have the same agent.

I think everyone kind of knows and makes the effort to see each other and invites people to barbecues and whatnot. I think it was harder, probably, saying goodbye to Alice Cullen. That was probably the hardest, because that's the only person that I'm not gonna see again.

I continue to stay close to Kellan Lutz and in touch with him. Because [the cast members of Twilight] have become so close.

The past is the past. As long as it's not a mass-murderer past! You're with the person who you're with as they are now.
