My anxiety is over. The Guru has cut away my bonds, and I have found eternal peace. Whatever shall be, shall be in the end; so where can pain and pleasure be seen?

I wash Your Feet, and constantly serve You. O Divine Lord, I worship and adore You; I bow down before You. I am the slave of Your slaves; I chant Your Name. I offer this prayer to my Lord and Master.

On the Lord's Path, sinners are purified. Perfect is their glory; perfect is their humanity.

When the mind wavers, loyalty sits light; love disappears; and faction begins.

My hunger has departed, my thirst has totally departed, and all my anxiety is forgotten. The Perfect Guru has placed His Hand upon my forehead; conquering my mind, I have conquered the whole world.

Let me tell you this; mine is no mesmerism, miracle or magic. Mine is genuine DIVINE POWER.

Life without goodness, good thoughts, good actions and good words is like the sky in the night without the moon or stars. It is like a wheel without a hub or spokes! No one can push a boulder away while standing on it; you cannot be free from anxiety while all the entrances through which it sneaks in are open.

Man is but the Image of God. Even Nature is but an appearance of God; the reality is He alone.

MAN is flying to the Moon and diving into the Sea; but he does not know how to live on Earth with his fellow men in Love and Peace. He moves towards the Moon for fear others may reach there before him and dives through the Sea to strike terror, himself terrified of others!

So many times, Nanak is a sacrifice to Him; fruitful is the Blessed Vision, the Darshan, of my Lord of the Universe.

O Lord God, You are the One and Only Giver; You forgive us, and unite us with Yourself. Servant Nanak seeks Your Sanctuary; if it is Your Will, please save him!

O man! May you earn with your 'One hundred hands' and donate with 'Thousand hands'. May you thus set new standard for your duties!

O Merciful to the meek, O Dear Lord King, You have engaged millions of people in Your Service. You are the Lover of Your devotees; this is Your Nature. You are totally pervading all places.

O mother earth, kindly set me down upon a well-founded place! With (father) heaven cooperating, O thou wise one, do thou place me into happiness and prosperity!

O Motherland! Bless us with a benevolent mind! Help us realize all the knowledge with the each passing day and may I acquire wealth from the earth!

O Motherland! May we,your subjects unite and be 'sweet-speakers'! Bless all of us so that we too could be soft spoken.

O my beloved camel-like mind, day and night, lovingly attune yourself to the Lord. Return to your own home, and find the palace of love; meet the Guru, and meet the Lord. O camel-like mind, you are my friend; abandon hypocrisy and greed.

O my beloved camel-like mind, search for the Lord within your own heart. He cannot be found by any device; the Guru will show you the Lord within your heart.

O my mind, serve Him; He is the Primal Being, the Infinite Divine Lord.

O dice, yield play, profitable as a cow that is rich in milk! Bind me to a streak of gain, as the bow (is bound) with the string!

O camel-like mind, you are so fickle; give up your cleverness and corruption.

O camel-like mind, you are so very fortunate; dwell upon the jewel of spiritual wisdom. You hold in your hands the sword of the Guru's spiritual wisdom; with this destroyer of death, kill the Messenger of Death.

Of course, one must love all mankind; all are children of God. One must not emphasize the differences between Nations or between castes and creeds. Cultivate Universal heartfelt Love.

One should not only abstain from 'sinful-deeds' but also from 'sinful- speech' and 'sinful-thought'. By doing so we pave our way to success and peace.

One should refrain from bad actions and engage in good deeds.

One should repay the loans he has taken as soon as possible. A debtor can never enjoy peace of mind and happiness as long as he is under the burden of debts.

One should strive to maintain good health by taking balanced diet and exercising regularly.

One should always make constant efforts to seek such a Guru, who can lead him to the path of self-realization.

One should engage himself in self study to refine his intelligence and to acquire knowledge.

One, who does not cast evil eyes on her 'own' house... who does not have malevolence towards her husband... giver of joy....seeker of family's welfare...who treads on the righteous path... gives happiness to all... serves all... gives birth to good sons... keeps her brother-in-laws satisfied and gives nourishing food...May such a wife help us attain prosperity.

One, who earns leadership of the masses by working ceaselessly for people's welfare finally realizes that he has been rewarded with many added advantages.

One, who is capable of interpreting the meaning of 'secret-speech' becomes the first to come across the 'source of knowledge'.

One, whose mind is stable, pure and chaste is strong mentally as well as morally. Therefore, one should only befriend such people who are kind-hearted, polite and virtuous.

One, who takes lessons from his past and improves on himself need not fear the future.

One, who wishes well of others and works for their welfare, quite naturally becomes the ruler of the masses.

One who works assiduously and wholeheartedly without bothering about the results shall definitely accomplish his tasks.

One fears death because of ignorance but when the 'flame of knowledge' is enkindled in the mind then the 'fear of death' ceases to exist.

Money and mansions are not the only wealth. Hoard the wealth of the Spirit. Character is wealth; good conduct is wealth; and spiritual wisdom is wealth.

Money comes and... goes! But morality? It comes and grows! Morality has to be grown in the heart by feeding it with Love; then only we can have justice, security, law and order.

No one should be condemned as trash; even a little stick can serve as a toothpick!

My ears do not hear, and my eyes are not beautiful. I am in such pain; I am a poor cripple, crying at Your Door.

Nothing comes, and nothing goes; this play is all set in motion by the Lord, the Sovereign King.

NOW, there is a wave of anxiety spreading over the World as a result of rising prices; and attempts are frantically being made to bring down the level.

Naturally, man has to seek all means of discovering the meaning of Life, for without knowing it, he is lost; he wanders from birth to birth, receiving knock after knock and is seldom the better for all the experience.

Return when called, knowing the outlet of the path (death), the ascent, the advance, the road of every living man!

NESTS laboriously built by birds are torn away by storms; the fragrant petals of flowers are felled by rain.

My life is prosperous, fruitful and approved; I know that the Guru, the Supreme Lord God, is near me.

I have found the Perfect Guru; Maya shall no longer harass me.

I have conquered and cleaned thee out (?); I have also gained thy reserve. As the wolf plucks to pieces the sheep, thus do I pluck thy winnings.

I dig up this plant, of herbs the most potent, by whose power rival women are overcome, and husbands are obtained.

Learn a lesson from the birds. They feed those who cannot fly far. The bird relieves the itch of the buffalo by scratching it with its beak; they help and serve each other with no thought of reward.

Love others and serve them; then you can win My Love.

Love binds all hearts in a soft silken symphony. Seen through the eyes of Love, all beings are beautiful; all deeds are dedicated; and all thoughts are innocent. The World is one vast kin.

Love cures pettiness, hate and grief. Love loosens bonds; it saves man from the torments of birth and death.

Let us not seek the outer empire; let us become the rulers of the inner empire. Let us not try to defy the outer enemy, leaving the inner foe to grow in striking power. We have Krishna with us, and so, who can defeat us? We shall win through winning His Grace.

Mind is a double edged sword. It has immense power and it is capable of accomplishing both useful and destructive feats.

Sincere efforts made for the realization of auspicious resolution never go in vain.Such a person naturally becomes the leader of the masses.

Sing the Glories of God each and every day; your afflictions shall be dispelled, and you shall be saved, my humble friend.

Sin leads to sure and certain downfall and hence we should abstain from sinful deeds.

Meditate in remembrance on the One Lord; do not be in love with duality.

Meeting the Lord, Nanak has found peace and bliss; his life is redeemed, and prosperity dawns for him.

May earth provide us with all the things of our requirements just like a 'mother', who breast-feeds her child.

May 'enthusiasm' and 'superiority' remain together and bless us with wealth! May the enemy flee after being scared!

May I be dear to deities...people of equal capabilities and animals alike... and may I be blessed with a long life!

May it preserve thee from sorcery, from thy equals and thy kin! Undying be, immortal, exceedingly vital; thy spirits shall not abandon thy body!

May my four organs be free from ailments! May my entire body be healthy and strong!

May our friends be dear to us! May those who hate us, end up in darkness of ignorance!

May the alert and the watchful divinities guard thee, may he that sleeps not and nods not guard thee, may he that protects and is vigilant guard thee!

May their weapons fall from their (hands), may they be unable to lay the arrow on (the bow)! And then (our) arrows shall smite them, badly frightened, in their vital members!

May there be nobody to create a rift between us!

May the son of a noble man be victorious!

May the winged birds that move in the air and in the sky descend; beasts of prey and insects shall seize upon them; the vultures that feed upon raw flesh shall hack into (their) carcasses!

May thou bless me with radiance, courage, energy and strength.

May we befriend only those who are kind and polite.

May we imbibe all those qualities and sublime merits possessed by gods.

May we 'lead' in the company of kings and amass wealth by our efforts.

May you be blessed with that benediction which transcends worldly happiness, and may scholars show you the path !

May your mind be infused with 'one' thought(concentration of mind)! May every action of yours be embellished by 'one' thought! May your resolution be 'one'. You, who are acting to the contrary, your disposition shall have opposite orientation.

May your thoughts, resolution and actions unify and become one so that 'unity' becomes possible.

Move ahead! Give proper Nourishment to the body! May your hands,legs and body not be destroyed by death!

Make the Beloved Lord your friend. Keep Him constantly in your mind; He is the Support of the breath of life.

Maintaining cordial relationship with friends help us in improving upon our own capabilities.

Sickness afflicts those who commit sins; God Himself sits as the Judge.

Serving Him, all treasures are obtained. Worshipping God, honor is obtained. Working for Him is never in vain; forever and ever, sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord.

O Nanak, serve the Lord forever; He is the treasure of glorious virtue.

O Nanak, this Union cannot be broken; the true profit is obtained.

I have become a worshipper of the One Name; the Guru has shown me this amazing wonder.

Grief is a friendly reminder, a good task-master; even a better teacher than joy.

Knowledge not only helps us material success but it also enhances our spiritual growth.

There are some who deny even today the possibility of air travel; they curse the contrivance. They cavil at it. Similarly, there are many who cavil at the Avatar who has come to save them.

If only he had known the truth, all that grief could have been avoided. So too, until you know that all are altars where the name God is installed and all are moved and motivated by the Grace of the self-same God, you are afflicted by hate and pride; once you know it and experience it, you are full of Love and reverence to all.

Four steps are laid down in the scriptures to help man succeed in this effort; Discrimination between the Permanent and the Impermanent; withdrawal from the process of catering to the senses; Positive control of the feelings, thoughts, and pursuits; and incessant yearning for Liberation from all bonds.

Four directions has the heaven, and also four the earth, (from these) the gods created the embryo. May they open her, that she shall bring forth!

From thy eyes, thy nostrils, ears, and chin--the disease which is seated in thy head--from thy brain and tongue I do tear it out.

From thy heart, thy lungs, viscera, and sides; from thy kidneys, spleen, and liver we do tear out the disease.

Gain is deposited in my right hand, victory in my left. Let me become a conqueror of cattle, horses, wealth, and gold!

From near thy vicinity, from near thy distance (do I call), remain here, do not follow; do not follow the Fathers of yore! Firmly do I fasten thy life's breath.

If, what is learned is not put into practice, the student is like a cow that does not yield milk; a fruit lacking in taste, a book bereft of wisdom.

I enjoy intuitive peace, and I play in bliss; the cycle of reincarnation is ended for me, and I am merged with the Lord.

God has not made any man wholly bad or wholly good; your likes and dislikes are inducing you to label them as such.
