My priorities have always been to work for the people.
Livonia would save money because they wouldn't have to run their own 9-1-1 center.
Overall I though that we competed well. But we still have some learning to do. I think we'll do well in the small school championships next week. I don't think we'll be in the top two. Last year we finished second in the league and came in fourth in the small school meet.
I think I have performed admirably for the City of Springfield.
I think we it basically boils down to us representing different interests.

The whole thing was much ado about nothing. At the end of the day, I pay taxes, too. I treat everyone fairly.
I'm confident we will continue - and quite possibly increase - the quality of services and save both cities a significant amount of money,
Their concern was that I am a town employee and will be overseeing other town employees. When I was on the Board of Education for 12 years and oversaw 500-plus employees, there was never a concern or conflict raised then.
I have worked very hard to promote livability and economic development in the Springfield community, ... go hand in hand.
Nothing I could 'give to them' would help me or benefit me in any way.
It's been tested here and we know we can do it.
It was a very competitive meet. In any given season Mount Sinai, Bayport and Shoreham-Wading River are all right in there. We have a very young team with only one senior. So next year all but one will be back.
This is the wave of the future in the way of government cooperation. It's the approach public safety has to take today.
I do the people's work, and this is a democracy.
