Oh, yeah. I get that. People think I did it for the publicity. As much publicity as I'm getting, I'm making no money off of it. I hope people don't think I'm going to be the kind of guy that would do that. My reputation would be clobbered.
What I can't figure out is why anyone would steal it. They can't sell it on eBay, it's not fit to eat, there was no ransom note and the police put its value at only $25 (14 pounds) on their report.
People have called from all over the country and offered to donate icons.
We wanted to put up enough to get somebody talking. What's a bun worth? It's kind of a strange question.
It's part of the branding of the product, and it's been very effective throughout the years.
