I didn't go in setting out to beat Pierre's run, ... I set out to make the tricks I wanted to make. My main focus was to have fun and I wanted to make that known today.
I am so excited to have won the first Dew Cup. After this win, I feel like I'm ready to have a heart attack. I blew it in San Jose because I didn't think of the Dew Tour as a series. Next season, I plan to concentrate on consistency.

I just flipped the switch on. I can't believe I won. It seems the tour has been going smooth for me. The overall impression has been remarkable. The support of the fans and NBC is something that competition skateboarding needs.
I plan on come back even better next year -- as long as the body holds up, ... At this level, I've got a few more years left in me. I'm not going anywhere yet.
It's a little intimidating, but once you get over that hill, it's easy. Once you get over the fear, it becomes a lot easier.
I came out swinging. I'm not going just for a top finish. I'm here to win.
