Last year there were eight versions of the budget (the ninth version was passed by the board of education) ... This is version four. We'll probably do four or more of these (budgets) until it's adopted in September.
Last year (Kane County) thought they may be late with the distribution of revenues. So we were very afraid that we'd have to go through the first part of June without any revenues.
We're amending the tax levy for 2005 to capture the education rate money that's legal since it was approved (by voters on March 21) and modify next year's levy so we maximize state aid.
