Obviously, we helped ourselves today, and that's good for the program, but we still have work to do in our minds. You have to give credit to (Foster) for being so poised today. He only got two points, but the other things he did, like post trapping, defensive positioning, frustrating Stout and Coleman. He was great.

You get abused like that, and it's good for them. It's like big brother stuff. You get kicked around, and then when he goes to college you grow up. That's how we've got to look at this team.

Right now we deal with adversity in a very poor way. We deal with adversity by putting our head down and turning on each other.

In conference tournaments, people have to step up that normally don't step up. We had this happen.

The guys do have a chip on their shoulder because they do watch TV and they do hear the things that are said about mid-majors and about our league stealing bids away from other people. That upsets us.

You can use it as a good thing because it's somebody we've never seen before. Or you can look at it and say, 'Hey, we're trying to concentrate on the conference.' We've got to prepare for somebody we don't know anything about. You can use it both ways.

You can't have excuses about (how) they're bigger than us. You've just got to play hard.

It's not scripted. We got beat. Other people got beat. That's what makes this league beautiful.

It's a chance for those guys to watch you compete late in the season on TV.

They're exceptional on the offensive end, they change defenses a lot, and they're well coached.

They're saying Northern Iowa is a lock and they've got seven losses in our league and we have six. That's a huge credit to our kids.
