I felt it was our worst defensive performance of the season. We didn't have an answer for what they were doing. We didn't box out well. We didn't locate well.
Just returning to the team was a huge lift for us.
We'll definitely have to play better as games go along. It's a long way to the state championship.
We were in control of the game, pretty much from the outset. But, we couldn't put them away.
It was a matter of finding our confidence. We played well in a lot of games but didn't win. In the last two weeks we found ourselves. It seemed like there was an aura around the team.
I never wanted them to get comfortable. But, as it turned out, we weren't entirely comfortable, either.
We turned it over too many times. Our offensive flow was off. We're just not with it.
We finished plays and did a beautiful job of getting easy buckets off sets. We didn't take care of the ball late and at times played a little ugly. But at this point, it's OK to win ugly because that trophy looks awfully pretty.
