He did everything he could to help this team succeed.
He's at the top with all of them, and he's done it in such a humble way, such a classy way. He goes down in history as being the dominant player on one of the most dominant teams, in modern days anyway.
Marc does a tremendous job of monitoring where the players are at. To get stronger, you have to go until you can't lift anymore. You have to go until failure, and he does a tremendous job of getting them to work through the pain.
I though Eric and Jordan brought it, just like always. I was anxious to see how some of our guys who had never been in that situation would respond. I think they learned, and they'll be better players as early as Thursday.
We think we have an excellent bid. We certainly don't think we'll lose on the quality of our bid.
(The players) have an absolute ability to stay on task. When they do that, we're very strong. Obviously, we've been strong quite a bit. They're a lot of fun to be around.
When you look at this group, you have to play well to have success. We played Noblesville in our (preseason) scrimmage, so we know it is a good team. We'll prepare for them like we do every team with offensive keys and defensive keys.
Eric Gordon was absolutely phenomenal tonight. I'd be hard pressed to believe there's a better guard in the country.
They shoot the ball so well. We just have to be there when they catch the ball.
They just needed to do a better job of what we wanted them to do. Right now, we're inconsistent in our play and in our effort. As soon as we find some consistency, I think we have a chance to be a good team.
It's always very important to have a stopper so you don't have to send two or three guys at a great player and then try to compensate in other areas.
The great thing about Darryl is that the guy carries a 5.0 GPA but does not try to talk over anybody's head. He's one of the guys. He can function in so many different levels of society, and that's such an advantage for him.
That's one of the luxuries of playing in Marion County. There are challenges in life. It's fun. Our team looks forward to it. Our kids have worked really hard all this week to get to this point.
We shut (Terre Haute North) down at the beginning of the second half.
