She's a good shooter, a good foul shooter, too. She has a nice touch, and she can hit the boards. We worked with her on her inside game this year, and when she started doing the right things in practice then I started playing her more.
Forster played a great game. That was her best game all year. She did all the little things. That's what leaders do.
(CD) did a good job on offense and defense. We played terrible. We didn't deserve to win. That's how we practiced last night, and that's how we played.
I was worried about the boards. They've got three strong girls, and we had to rebound with them.
We never pressed them much before. But we went with that in the second half and they maybe made some passes they don't normally make.
We have to regroup. We better get focussed. If we play two games like that (in districts), we'll be out of it.
Cox beat us tonight. She pulled them through.
Either Murray or Daly gets the shot. With 9 seconds to play there's not much you can do.
At the tip-off tourney at the start of the year (a 58-53 Trinity win) we had Holt on Cox, only we had her play five feet away. This time we put her on top of her. We tried to make Cox work both ways (offense and defense) and sometimes that can have an affect.
What happened last year is we had one of those nights where we shot the ball extremely well. That doesn't happen all the time.
I'm happy. We played a lot better. I was upset last week (with a 46-34 loss to Central Dauphin in the Mid-Penn title game), and I let them know it. We played not too silly tonight. We had a good practice this week, and I think they settled down.
The kids fought back and they played hard. I'm happy for them.
It took us a little while to get started, but that team was a lot better than last year. We were just off in the first half. In the second half we started to make them.
Holt had a heck of a game. She makes moves and gets the ball to people, and she plays tough D.
The first quarter killed us. We didn't play like we're used to playing. We were playing with half a team at times. We tried to press them, and I didn't think they had any bench. I thought we could wear them down, but we got tired.
Those two had 39 points, 39 out of their 60 points ... how about that. That means you can't let 'em open.
