One thing that I feel like I have been able to do is transition between those two sports very easily.

Obviously, I wanted to win the gold medal. But not everyone can reach the pinnacle of your career on the last day you compete. Not everyone can go out like John Elway.

I don't know the correct way to classify the feeling I had after I wasn't playing football anymore. There are 5,000 fans watching on a good day in skiing. In football, it's 16 games a year and it's bigger than the Olympics as far as the fans. It was something I really missed doing.

I would think as long as I'm playing, I wouldn't be skiing. I want to be running routes all year long. I would want to be training for football all year, which I've never done.

Catching the football for me is instinctual. I've been catching the football and I can catch the football. That's natural for me and that's not a problem. My speed, I'll continue to get faster and I'll continue to get stronger.

There aren't a lot of egos on this team.

My whole mentality was similar to the Tiger Woods approach. I had a lot of opportunities to jump in training and competition. I focused only on improving these skills. Adversity and racing gave me confidence to get through it.

I went into this thing thinking I would not get drafted and do it through free agency. I tried to lower the expectation when things were out of my control like they were today. All I can do now is show up in Philadelphia and bring my work ethic and work as hard as I can.

I think there are elements I'll be lacking here. My route running, I'll have to work on. Catching the football, I can catch the football. And my speed, I'll have to work on that, too.

Well, this is America, so obviously football is the Big Daddy in this country. It gets the most attention and has the most pressure, and that's what I've been really missing. A lot of people love to ski in this country, but it's primarily a recreational sport and that's the way people view it. Competitive skiing is not really on the radar here.

Watching John Elway in Colorado, that goal was actually born before skiing. But the NFL is such a business. Obviously, I would LOVE to play for the Broncos, but I would also love to play for anyone who drafts me.

Could it be more beneficial for me to be skiing? Maybe, but that's not what I want to do right now. I love being in the gym, I love doing plyometrics, I love running routes, I love catching the football.

With football, it's the unknown right now. It's like there's that last missing block. Kind of like, 'What if? Make it? Not make it?' I need to answer that question.

There would be 80,000 people screaming at a football game.

To me its just looking inside myself and pushing myself to the extreme and pushing the limits that s inside of me ? just trying to get the fuel and fire to train harder.

The Olympics is an incredible celebration of athletics. Watching the 1992 Albertville Olympics was one of the reasons I got serious about freestyle skiing.

They told me that about college. 'You're going to get hurt, you're too small, you're not going to play.' I love people like that, it inspires me to do it even more.

The NCAA can't continue to turn a cold shoulder on these athletes because it's not fair,

It was hard, calling unwanted attention to myself when I was a freshman with a huge challenge. It was hard when the NCAA said, 'Your college football career is over and your scholarship is gone.' I had started throwing a football at age 2.

As far as the pop culture icon things that come my way, I'm an athlete. It's not something that would ever take away from my training.

It's nice to check that box. I've been saying for a long time that if I make it to the Olympics, I'll be at the combine a week after. But it really came together today, which is a great feeling. It's probably a better feeling than knowing I'm going to the Olympics.

To a certain point I feel like competitively I've done it all, looking back on everything with a smile on my face. Football is the missing block. Make it? Don't make it? I need to find that out.

It shouldn't be about winning. What's important is coming here, to a fantastic event that brings together great athletes from all over the world, and taking in the experience. That's what I hope to take from this.

It's going to take a lot of fuel. Getting ready to take the punishment, getting back in football shape. The commitment is huge.
