Michael Scott "Mike" Lieberthal, nicknamed Lieby, is a former Major League Baseball catcher. He batted and threw right-handed... (wikipedia)
I was setting up over the plate and calling two-seamers, and saying, 'Go ahead, hit this movement. And there was a lot of movement,' ... We had a game plan before the game, but we used more two-seamers because of how well it was moving.
Obviously, Houston's schedule is easier. But I still believe anyone can beat anyone, so they can lose some games. Milwaukee's played pretty good baseball all year. Anything can happen.
I felt bad. I didn't want him to call him out, but I had a bad feeling. I knew he went, though.
He's going to be a little wild anyway, because he had such movement on his fastball, but today his mechanics were off, so it was really flying.
That always seems to happen when you're making a lot of money. And teams always need catching. You can't control it.
Just because of how we finished the season. But everyone knows how the fans felt about Ed the last few years. There was a lot of negativity. It's all about winning.
You like to win in any game. It helps to build a winning attitude. I think it's a good sign for us.
When you're not playing well, you can't beat anybody. It's a matter of us not playing well as a team.
Everything that's sold in the U.S. has never had a problem testing positive. You just have to be careful, but especially with stuff bought outside the U.S. Then, make sure you keep some of it with you just in case.
Pretty much anything that's sold in the U.S. hasn't tested positive. But you have to be careful with anything from out of the country.
This is the best I've felt in terms of hitting the ball hard. Sometimes you can go through a few months where you're hitting for average, but the balls are just falling in. I feel I'm hitting it hard. Most of it was just correcting some flaws in my swing.
You're at a slight disadvantage (batting eighth) because the pitcher is behind you. That makes it harder because you don't see as many pitches to hit.
You think about that stuff every year, because there are only so many chances that you get in a career. You see guys who play 15 years and never get the chance to go to the playoffs. And you don't want to be one of those guys.
It's huge. I'd be afraid to drive it. You'd hurt somebody.
His control was off. His ball was running a lot. He made some pitches that were up in the zone with two strikes.
It's time to play. We can talk all we want about how talented we are and things that. You have to go out and play and prove it.
It's always a special day. It's one of the only days all season that you're really nervous. It's probably a little easier now, because I've been through it so many times, but I still get butterflies.
It's going to be nice to have an off-day after a blowout. This couldn't come at a better time.
Come on Cubs! ... We need some spirit to put a hex on Houston, and it's not doing it yet. It will, though.

He's money when it comes to the ninth inning. There's no closer out there that's like him. It's really hard to compare a guy like Wagner to anybody else. With him, it's like playing eight innings. It's hard to find any closer like him.
