He just puts himself in good situations where interceptions aren't an issue. I've never had any player go this long without throwing one, especially as much as we like to throw the ball.
Keith has his days. Mentally, he's right there. But we still need to sharpen some things up.
We didn't play very smart but defense stepped up in the second half. They moved the ball on us but we never gave up the big score.
We still didn't run the ball the way I would like to see us run it. And I hate to go back to the inexperience thing but that's part of it.
This will be a completely different game. Henry Clay runs a more spread offense. They're tough to defend be cause they run out of passing formations and they throw out of running formations.
And we're still inconsistent at our offensive line. We're still looking to fill a guard and tackle spot. We've been adding plays and maybe that's been bothering them. We have days where we look good and we have not-so-good days.
I've already got butterflies. I'm anxious to see how we play, how prepared we are.
This is going to be a tough game. But I think if we can get protection for Keith and attack the running game, we have a shot.
Oh, there's no question we've talked about this. We can, realistically, still win the district if Warren Central beats Marshall and we beat Warren Central. But our first priority is Graves.
I hope they grew up a little bit. We're very inexperienced and young. We really shot ourselves in the foot with mistakes, but we came away with a win and the effort was there.
We could be playing for first or fourth-place in the district. This is as big a game as we've had all season.
They're a great defensive team. That's evident. They haven't done a lot offensively at times, but they don't give up much to their opponent's offense.
