We were watching all news stations and websites waiting for the order from the president or the mayor to lower the flags to half-staff. We finally received it Tuesday and most of the facilities in the city lowered their flags in honor of her burial.

Flying the flag at half-staff is showing respect and loss of a leader or a good person.

Not the best of gifts, not the best way to transport it, either.

The city wants the community to know that the medical services they receive will not change or diminish, it will just happen in a different fashion.
