We want to bring everybody back together again.
You can never know what's in people's hearts, but it's not fair that we're going backwards in time. We should be, as educators, embracing diversity and provide a model of what the world is like for the students so they can learn together and play together. That's important.
These are young adults, and it's their future that we're talking about. We just want to do what's right for the kids.
We lived through that, and it made people stronger as a community. It helped draw them together. In fact, they're stronger than we've ever been. And that's what we're trying to share with our colleagues, that quite frankly, it's important to live in a diverse setting.
