I felt like we were one shot away at the end of the game. We just couldn't make that one shot to tie it.
We may not go as far but we'll still go.
I'm all for Fanning Bend, and I understand they need to have docks.
We did what we have been doing all year long. We fought to get back in this game and then we committed three unforced turnovers. But my kids did what they have done all year. Nobody expected us to get this far.
We'd be in the stands and see all (the other team's) nice equipment and then see our duct tape. We were concerned. If our equipment failed, we couldn't run a meet.
But I'm concerned about boat traffic and safety, the erosion of the existing shoreline, and how this will set the stage for future developments.
You can only take a picture at one particular time and we couldn't get anyone else in at this time.
It started with the Winona Athletic Boosters. We asked for $4,000 and they gave it to us. When they did that, we realized we had enough to get started.
All the money was spent for the 'Concept Plan' document, which made reasonable recommendations for developments. Now that's kind of being forgotten. That's why I think the public trust is being betrayed.
