Right now, he's just trying to put me in good situations where I can make plays with my arms and my legs. We have a lot of young guys on offense, so he's trying to keep things simple for them. But mostly, he's doing a good job of keeping me moving around in the pocket and not just sitting there like a sitting duck.

We had opportunities to make big plays and we did it in spurts and we just have to continue to minimize the mistakes. One thing about this offense is we cannot afford to make too many mistakes, we are killing ourselves. Anytime that you are 3rd-and-2 and it turns to 3rd-and-7 it changes the whole philosophy of the game, the game plan and game calling.

Towns like Mount Olive and Collins suffered tremendous damage, and you don't see that on the national news. A lot of people around here lost a lot and need help.

When they are playing the cover-two and all of a sudden it's 3rd-and-2 and they play cover-two and they lock you man-to-man with the outside receivers, it forces you to throw the ball inside and forces you to take small yards at a time. We had opportunities to get the ball to the receivers. I think I missed a couple with Brandon Jones. We are doing what the defense is forcing us to do.

We have to find ourselves. We have to find what we are doing wrong. I think overall it's just penalties -- penalties here and there. We controlled the ball today like we were supposed to but, we don't have anything to show for it. If you don't have anything to show for it there is no use to hold onto the ball for 15-20 minutes with no points. That's what we have to work on, we have to finish. If we don't finish there are going to be long days ahead.

Vince is becoming a man, ... It's great to see how much he's matured, not just as a player but more importantly as a person.

Brandon is doing a great job. He's a guy that's going to make key catches. He's a guy that can run after the catch. As a couple games move on and he gets comfortable in the system he's going to be one of the guys you've got to look for on game day.

Norm is a guy on game day, he really doesn't say much. The days before is when you really got to say, 'Hey Norm, just calm down.' I think it's exciting to him. He tells us, 'This is exciting.' We all should be excited. That's the type of guy he is.

Seeing all the other foundations and different organizations collecting stuff, they have a lot of stuff too. I thought we'll get some things, not that much, ... The response has just been amazing.

Pretty much for the most part of the game we worked on their side of the field. That was a great sign, we had the short field.

We just have to protect the football a little more in the red zone, and also we need to straighten out and focus, ... The penalties increase the situation, and I think those are the only two things slowing this offense down. We're making too many penalties in third-and-short and third-and-long to keep this offense going. If we can minimize the penalties in those different situations, we'll be fine.

I'm very comfortable with that regardless of who's out there. If they can get to know the game plan, get to know their defensive scheme, they can predict what they're going to do, so I feel comfortable with that.

It's going to be very strange, but I got a chance to see them on the Sunday night game (against Indianapolis). Both of them look excellent, and they're playing well. It's just going to be odd to see them on the other side of the field. At the same time, they did what's best for them and their families, but they're always going to be good friends of mine.

With the physical mindset I play the game with, I expect to get hurt.

I really find myself doing a lot better when I'm injured, so sometimes I look forward to it. This is the style that I play-being physical, running the football, making adjustments on the pass, avoiding the rush. Those sorts of things go with the total package of a quarterback.

I'm not out trying to prove anything. All I'm trying to do is go out there and help my team any way I can to win. I don't get caught up in the individual stats or the awards.

The sense of urgency is real for me, because the window of opportunity is closing. Gotta get back to the Super Bowl, gotta get back there and win it.
