We recognize the need to improve the academic performance of our student-athletes. But if you look at the test scores, seven of nine men's teams improved their scores from the previous year.
We're not talking about wholesale problems here. We're talking about a small percentage of athletes not meeting the guidelines set forth.
You could have four or five kids out of 95 that fail to perform academically. Statistically, that's a very small number.
