Guys like Jon were here and working hard when it was not the most fashionable thing to play basketball here at BC. When you see us reach the Sweet Sixteen and advance in the rankings it's because of guys like Jon and others who put in their time and got the most out of their abilities day in and day out.

We shared the basketball after that 13-point (Oklahoma State) lead. We started getting good shots. We made plays.

We're just at .500, so there's a lot more basketball to play. Hopefully we'll continue to play at the level we need to. There's no question we dug ourselves a hole and it's not like we're really out of the hole, but at least we're in the mix a little bit.

Duquesne played with a lot of energy and hustle. We didn't match that energy in the first half. But the game is 40 minutes long. I thought our size and strength eventually would take care of that. If Duquesne continues to play like that they'll start to win some basketball games. They've got a feel of how they want to play.

There are a lot of ways to win basketball games, and obviously the easiest way is to score points. But when you don't do that, there are other things that you can do -- hustle plays like the tip-in or the rebounds on the free throws. Those plays can make a difference and they obviously did this afternoon.

The thing about it for us is we'll have to do what we do, and hopefully that's enough to win the basketball game.

They've been very fortunate to win a lot of basketball games here. I'm just extremely happy for them. They'll probably be asking me for a portion of my paycheck after their careers are over. I hope y'all acknowledge that I said 'after their careers are over,' so we don't have any problems.

You might as well get used to this. There's some new people in town and y'all got to hopefully welcome us with open arms. I'm not talking about just BC, but you've got Miami and Virginia Tech. So this league has evolved and hopefully we bring some credibility to it, and people would appreciate the quality of basketball that we're playing and those other new schools are playing.

Again, it's not the big things, it's the little things, but that's what makes for good basketball for us. We've got to utilize everyone. We've got into a stretch there where we got a little individualized and I'm not sure we're talented enough to do that.

This was a total team effort. We needed to play with composure. We took bad shots and had poor execution. (Oklahoma State) was a good basketball team. We needed to calm down and show patience.

This league has evolved and hopefully we bring some credibility to it. And people will appreciate the quality of basketball we're playing, as well as the other two schools.

They're not really small. They may be a little shorter, but they're strong enough to be effective. They're quick and strong and they have some basketball savvy. It's more the mind-set than anything else. Instead of using their height as a disadvantage, they use it as an advantage. Obviously, they've made it work.
