Most people spend a lot of time justifying why it's got to be this way, ... they can put away something.

I estimate a very conservative number of 25,000 dead homeboys. If 25,000 white people were killed in two decades of urban drive-bys, you could imagine there would be prime time television, there would be counseling, economic packages, truces would be negotiated by diplomats with experience in Northern Ireland or the Balkans.

Today I rode the new bike all day and we made some good progress. It was the first time we've had chance to spend a lot of time on the chassis and engine and I went quite a lot faster on it than I did last time here so that's positive. It's still a prototype machine and there are a lot of things we still need to try because it's quite a bit different to my other bike. It would have been nice to test the two bikes back to back but I'm sure we'll get a chance tomorrow.

I wish that I'd been in Congress at some point. Especially now with Bush there. But I would have a really hard time getting elected because of my views. L.A. is very ethnic. Many of the Jewish voters would not support me because of my views on the Middle East.

Blake did what we needed him to do for us tonight. My nerves were a little shabby at the beginning of the game, but it's good to know that we have a guy that will go out and battle for us. He's going to give us a chance to win every time he takes the mound.

We spent a lot of time working with the new chassis today and testing some improved parts that Honda has brought from Japan. The bike's now really stable on the brakes and turning into the corner is much better, so we're getting there. It's still moving around a bit on the exit of corners and better traction is something we're working on. We're moving forward though and we've still got a lot of stuff to try.

Ours has been a special relationship for a long time and I'm really happy about coming back and playing,

We spend a lot of time talking to our kids about the need to get involved in something.

I'd say from our momentum point of view, it took us a long time to get to that point in the game. It's significant for us to get a roll on going into their last innings.
