I think every team goes through phases where they don't play quite as well, especially away from home. They probably haven't played as well in the last two games as they had been, but we've had numerous games like this as well. I won't talk to the team about that. I think that's pretty premature. If our whole focus right now is beating Colorado and trying to win the league, I don't think you bring stuff like that into it just yet.

We are aware that last night at Abe and Jake's more than one fight broke out inside. All reports we have received are that a fight broke out on a crowded set of stairs that Rodrick Stewart was using to exit the premises. Rodrick was hit over the head with some form of blunt instrument while he was exiting. All reports we have received indicate Rodrick had no involvement in the altercation other than him being hit over the head while going up the stairs. He received four staples to the top of his head and is feeling fine today. Rodrick's being at Abe and Jake's did not violate team policies.

The other thing our offense wasn't very good last night at all. If the offense isn't very good, I think you are better off playing your best defensive team the majority of time. That also could factor into the equation why those guys didn't get in the second half.

The tournament loss was obviously very disappointing. But I think this team can get a lot better. With another piece or two, this team could become great. We could probably use another big guy and a perimeter shooter. The good thing is these guys have a chance to come back next year and try to make amends as much as we can.

We've been on a pretty good roll and certainly played a bad game tonight. Texas didn't become a bad team after Duke (a 31-point setback December 10) and we didn't become a bad team after these 40 minutes. We certainly aren't going to dwell on that.

Brandon's got to be a playmaker for us. When you're shooting 60 percent from three, you need to be taking more than three a game. He should be taking eight a game and shooting 40 percent. That would help the team a lot more.

They're very hard to guard because they can stretch it from all five spots. They're not a conventional team at all.

This is a fun team to be around right now. We're getting better.

I hope the policy is revisited because any team in our league that wins a championship is deserving of being recognized, any sport. Whatever championship it is, you should be recognized by your conference. Obviously, we were not.

The big thing is, we have to figure out as a team and staff a lot of things: a.) who to play, and b.) how we're going to play in different situations.

This team is pretty loose. A lot of that is just youth. We have a lot of young guys out there, and they don't know any better. Even when we're not playing well, they still seem to enjoy playing with each other.

Colorado has a better team than it's had in years, and I think they are drawing better than they were earlier.
