One thing about Ray Allen , at some point he's going to make shots.
It could be fatigue. We all know it's been a long year. Ray Allen still amazes me. He's playing really hard. He competed his heart out, he just couldn't get the ball in the basket.
We just couldn't make a shot. Ray couldn't make a shot. Luke couldn't make a shot. ... We couldn't sink our teeth into the game.
We kept scoring and then Ray got hot. That's a terrific win. They're awfully good.
I sensed he knew we needed him tonight ... Ray really stepped up for us.
We went into the game with the idea that Ray would try to push him to a certain part of the floor and there would be help there. I thought Ray did a good job of pushing him there and then our big guys were ready to at least make him take a jump shot.
Ray did what Ray was supposed to do late. He hit some big shots and we got a couple of stops that were real important.
Ray felt obligated to play, considering the situation we were in. Under normal circumstances he wouldn't have played.
Ray looks awful. Ray is not good. You could just look at him and tell he's sick without asking. We've got to get him to Miami and get him to bed and see if we can't get him ready to play (today).
Ray was on a mission. He had that proverbial scowl on his face.
Ray was on a mission. He had that proverbial scowl on his face. He got a little anxious midway through the fourth quarter. He was getting open. He did a good job of getting open the entire game.
If Ray had an average shooting night, we win.
I have to say that it was our fourth game in five nights. We had seven players available and Ray Allen was playing sick.
