No fear or concern at all. We're going to take it for what it is, a real important game for us. We probably have to win the next few games, simple as that.
He was motivated. He was coming home, he had about 500 people coming to see him today, so he wanted to win the game and play well. We were able to accomplish both.
I thought our effort was much better. Defensively we're just having way too many lapses. Guys aren't communicating out there and talking to each other. You give up (52) points in the paint, you're not going to win too many games.
I think it's a good thing for our team right now. If we can win games without Chris, I think it gives these guys even more confidence. And it also shows when he comes back that we'll even be better.
We obviously have to do a better job taking care of the ball. But when you have 23 turnovers and you win the game, that's a plus. We've got to do a better job of understanding how important that ball is.
We're just not a very good team right now. There are a lot of glaring holes at both ends of the floor for us. We are having opportunities to win in the fourth quarter but are not mentally tough enough to get the stops.
The players' minds were on their teammate instead of the game, which is understandable. I thought after a while that (his players) had to realize that we still had to win this game.
I knew that we could win 35. But behind closed doors when I'm talking to the coaches and talking to the players, our goals are a lot higher, and obviously we've changed our goals.
I told David at halftime to stay aggressive and that his shot would start falling. He had several big rebounds and put-backs that really helped us win this game in the fourth quarter.
It was nice to just win a game.
All we can do is control our destiny and try to win games. If they win then you've got to take your hat off to them. We can give ourselves an opportunity by winning games. That's all we can do.
We just have to win these next five games to give ourselves the opportunity. That's it.
