I thought in the second half we did a good job on the offensive boards, getting some second-shot opportunities. That gave us a few easier baskets. Kirby and Lauren did a good job in the post area. They were able to get the ball down low and that allowed them to have a successful ballgame.

We played hard and I feel we accomplished a lot during our practices and in the (three) games last week. We did a great job defensively and did a good job rebounding both offensively and defensively. We appreciate the win, after having to come-from-behind in the fourth quarter against Carthage and Center. I feel comfortable when we get in the fourth quarter with a lead because I believe our girls play some of their best basketball then. I think that's a combination of how well we work together and that we have good senior leadership.

Coach Nelson has really done a good job since she arrived. They've been down, but I can remember a few years ago when they were very good. And, they're getting better again now. It's important for both of us. Our girls realize they'll have to play well to beat Tatum.
