Our main goal was to stop her penetration and put good pressure on the shot.
West Jeff is another dangerous team, just like Northridge. They've got a couple of real good shooters. They're not big, but they'll probably press us (defensively) most of the game.
We didn't fight real hard for part of the second and things snowballed. They got some quick transition buckets, and we couldn't get shots to drop. Their size makes it awful tough to match up with them; we didn't have real good looks at the basket and we forced some shots.
I keep telling the girls good free-throw shooters are made during the summer. Once you get into the season you keep practicing them but you're really not going to improve all that much.
It's nice to still be in the hunt. A lot of good teams are done already.
It'll be one of the biggest games these girls have ever played in. As good as we've been the past couple of years they've never won a league championship in any sport.
