Last year we were praying and hoping to get in. We expect to be in this year.

Last year this time we were on the other side, just hoping and praying that somehow they would stick us in there. It makes the day a lot more fun, knowing they will be calling our name sometime.

Last year we didn't have the same team. This year we have a more able team. We can fight back.

When they go to Liz Claiborne and find out that you have to study mathematics (and) you have to know computer technology, that changes what you think you'll take next year in school.

Our objective is to bring quality entertainment to that facility. The quantity is going to vary from year to year.

I think that we made history obviously for this program, for our first year in the NCAA tournament, and I think that people are starting to realize that we can play basketball.

Usually when one guy does something big, everyone else follows. That's kind of where we went downhill the second game. Obviously no one really jumped out, stepped up. It's just kind of my role this year to get everyone fired up and ready to go.

We'll see those in the New Year. We are identifying the problem intersections and will ... pilot them for a year to see how well the cameras work.

We'll have some major bond projects coming on line: three parks, three fire stations and two libraries, including the main library. Then for the year starting in September, we'll have to deal with the full impact of those facilities, plus the new history museum and the zoo expansion, which will be getting into full swing.

They ran together just about the whole race and there was only a two second difference between them. They've been doing that all year long, going back and forth. This time they kind of partnered up and had some good competition between them, ... Looking ahead we'd like to see both of them contend for one of those top two places at districts. We just need our middle and back end to move up more and we've been moving up. We were in the 20s and now we're in the teens, so we're starting to see some improvement there.

This is big for these girls. They worked hard, and I tried to make them aware of how close they were last year ... and they really wanted to do well, so I didn't think the nine days we had off hurt us from that perspective because they were really ready to play.

About a year ago I had what I consider a very religious experience. I took LSD, a full dose of LSD, and later, another time, I took a smaller dose. And I learned a lot of things, like patience, understanding. I can't teach you or tell you what I learned from taking it, but I consider it a very religious experience.

I wanted the hands to reach out to help the people who were hurt in the hurricane, ... And I wrote down the year on the button so everyone would remember it was this year.

This is my sixth year now. I've never seen this many all-stars in the locker room at the same time.

They are certainly two girls I'll look to for depth this year. For some of the swimmers, this year might mean stepping into a new role they are not used to, but that is where we are at this year.

It's a dream. This year has been especially hard. We were always the underdogs. Since conference play started this year, we've been in first place. We had a target on our backs. It's harder to play with a target on your back.
