I was on the bench watching and I wanted to be out there competing against him. He's a heck of a player. When you run into great players you want to be out there competing with them.
We've selected eight players who are uncapped at test level and a further eight with less than ten caps to their name,
What we need is competition for places. We are certainly trying to engender that. When we name the final squad you could find that yes there might be a few established players left out of the squad. We'll find that out over the next two or three weeks.
We're at the stage where some of our more experienced players are injured, some have already been rested, so it's a great opportunity to bring a bit of youth and enthusiasm into the squad.
It's tough, don't get me wrong. You want to be there, and you wish you were there. But things change, and as players things change overnight, and you have to be aware of that.
I hope all of them have got on a piece of paper tucked away somewhere that their goal for the tour is to make the 22. They have all got the ability to do it, they are all good young players with plenty of potential.
