Given the news of last week the mayor thought it was fairly timely to be able to release it and use it as an opportunity to reinforce the message that sexual harassment - or any kind of harassment in the workplace - is not going to be tolerated.
At that point in time (last year), the mayor had no information about these allegations. We were not aware at the time of information that subsequently has come to light. (D'Angelo) would have been looked at for things like the performance of his department, which was quite good.
I know the mayor is really excited about the event. He couldn't make the first one but he plans to be there this time.
Generally speaking, the mayor is trying to get land use and TIF approvals to come before the full Common Council at the same meeting, so they can get considered in tandem. This is part of the TIF reform package that he supports.
It's a project the mayor would like to see get done. We're not pushing the panic button yet.
The mayor believes that it took decades for our lakes to reach their current condition, and it will take decades or more to restore them to a significantly higher level of quality.
