Knowing Alan Shearer like I do, he will be happy to share that (the record) with the fans and send them away really happy.
But Alan was in the dugout and as a future manager one day, I think he enjoyed it. He spoke to the lads in the dressing room. If he doesn't make that, he should be fit for Saturday against Everton.
Whatever job Alan does for this club, whatever job Alan would want to do for this club, he will always do his very best. He's assisting me brilliantly.
Alan won't want sympathy. He'll shake himself down, shrug his shoulders and get on with it.
Everything was perfect because it was a win, he scored from open play, which I think he would have preferred to have done, and it couldn't be a more perfect day for Alan Shearer, the rest of the players and the fans.
