Our thoughts and prayers are with everybody in the gulf coast and all the National Guard folks down there helping everybody. I know there were a lot of soldiers called to duty to go down there and we're just thinking about all of them.

If you give him the right car and the car is balanced properly, it's got the right aero numbers and all that, and then he's got to drive it, that makes it much easier to bring a guy in and be competitive right off. I'm excited that we're able to do that as a company, to be able to provide Carl with such a great opportunity. And he's taken advantage of it.

It's a hard thing not to be overconfident because they say, 'Well, you had such a great year last year, what do you expect this year? Certainly, I'd like to win the championship, but, boy, if I had to replay last year I don't know that I'd do a thing different.

It wasn't the car I was thinking I was going to have. But the guys did a great job in the pits, and I kept it off the wall and didn't get any flat tires. We just did everything we needed to do, really. ... We wanted a top-five (finish), so we can't really complain.
