I am superstitious, and he's been our defensive captain each and every week on our winning streak. He'll go with us (to Seattle), Lord willing, and he'll be our defensive captain again this week, and he'll do a good job of coaching behind the scenes.

He's doing better. He's improving. I think he's got a real good team attitude and as he improves, he'll play more, ... But right now, we're playing as well as we can play with the people that we are playing with and the guys that have put the most time in. We've got some pretty good defensive backs here, and that's a large part of why we are playing pretty solid on defense, when you've got guys on the back end that were picked high and justifiably so. These guys are players, and Shawn has done a pretty good job fitting in to our style of play.

We're excited about the opportunity to get him back out there going full go. He's had a good week of practice and really has had a pretty solid training camp when you talk to the trainers. Selfishly, yeah, I'm excited to see him in the best condition since I've been here.

We played 80-some, almost 90 snaps on defense, ... 12 for 31, 51 quarterback rating. We did a pretty good job there.

The quickest way to stop an offense is to get to the quarterback. You can play better in coverage when you can make sure the quarterback is unsettled. We didn't do as good a job in it last time. So that's the task at hand.

We'll work him out, just because he's a vet who has been in a lot of big games before. We've tried to rest him as much as we can, but we feel good about the guys that have practiced all week long. If we can get him, that's a bonus.

We always look at that. A guy may have done everything before, but maybe we want him to be as good as he can be at one thing first before we add on. You have to decide what's best for him and best for what you're trying to get done.

Sometimes the idea of a blitz can be almost as good as the blitz itself. We pressured Bledsoe on seven of the first 10 snaps. I knew Bill Parcells was going to over-commit to protecting his quarterback, and leave more people in to block. So we started showing pressure and not bringing it, making the quarterback feel by the way we lined up, 'Here they come.' And then we'd drop back, and he'd wind up getting upset and throwing the ball away.

If you could have those two runs back. But you can't. Normally, we take those plays away. We cannot allow those long runs on defense. We've got to finish those tackles. We did so many things well that we thought we had to do to take away a very good running game. Those plays are going to be hard to stomach.

He's one of those rare backs that has the patience, speed and power-the whole package-put together. We're going to have to do a good job of tackling and swarming the ball carrier because he's not a guy that's easy to bring down in one-on-one situations.
