Fred is getting better, it's week to week, but he's not going to make it this week. We both agreed that it would be best to give it a little more time. We are expecting him back this season.
I will look at all of that. We'll have a plan as the week unfolds. We'll work through that, exactly how we want to play, who we want to play, how much we want to play and be able to go out there and do the best we can Sunday and be ready to work the next weekend.
We do. We're optimistic that we'll get him back for the playoffs. We want to rest him this week. They want to re-examine the hand next week and have a better indication of whether we'll get him or not, but we remain optimistic that we'll get him back.
I'm going to let the week of practice unfold. I'm going to watch, look, evaluate, determine. I'd like to go out and see it...let the story unfold and let me make the decision I'll make.
Byron has progressed well during the week and was a little better each day. But I'm not going to declare whether he'll play until I have to.
The rest of the schedule may look easy, but any team can get hot from week to week.
