The president got it right this time. We only wish he had done this on October 3rd. This judge has always been at the top of our list for the Supreme Court.
You had four members of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court who suddenly found a right to same-sex marriage in the oldest written constitution still enforced in the world. That is a prime example of what we mean by judicial activism.

I regret that we couldn't come out of the box whole-heartedly endorsing a known nominee, ... that doesn't in and of itself mean she's the best qualified person to be nominated to the Supreme Court. There are so many known people who could have been nominated.
