She's one of our most versatile swimmers. She works very hard in practice and the hard work she does has resulted in some good swimming. She did OK up until she was 12; then she got really good when she was 13.

Sure, we'd like to make them all, or at least make more than we are. Nevertheless, we made some big ones when we needed to. We did a good job defensively and we were able to maintain a lead. When we still had a lead entering the second half, that gave us some confidence.

I thought we pitched well. Offensively, we didn't do as good a job as we needed, but we were proud to come back and get a win like that after Saturday. That shows a lot of character.

We've played up and down so far. When you play good competition, you get some of your weaknesses exposed and we have been exposed at times.

We've got a good group of sophomores and hopefully they can communicate to the freshmen what it takes to get it done in conference play. We just have to understand that it's a marathon and not a sprint. It' s a matter of who's got the most perseverance.

Rose is a good arm with good stuff. We're going to have to have our 'A' game to win.
