Neither of those guys was going to make or break the class. Montgomery is going to be a quality college running back and there has to be some disappointment there, but those guys aren't the foundation of the class.
He's gonna be something special. He's gotten dramatically better throughout his senior season. If he ends up at Miami, he's one of those guys who could play pretty quickly.
When you think West Coast offense, you don't think of the shorter guys. You think 6-3 or 6-4, guys who can run great routes and can go across the middle if needed. They hit some home runs from that angle.
A lot of fans are ho-hum about this class because they see last year's top-10 class and think this class doesn't compare. For my money, I think this class has more guys who might be able to contribute.
If you know anything about how Texas recruits, you know they had 20 or so guys locked in months ago.
It will probably be a top-15 class. If they add a couple more guys down the stretch, they could sneak into the top 10.
