because of the quality of the cockpit voice recorder and the extensive information contained on the flight data recorder, I am confident that many of the questions we have, you have, and the individuals following this investigation have around the world have, will be answered.
It is only prudent for the NTSB to consult with these experts and officials to fully evaluate this information prior to any final decision on whether the responsibility for this investigation should transfer to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
We ended up with what was a very important investigation without having the information available to the board to make recommendations to prevent an event like that from occurring.
Right now we're just trying to gather information and get as many people as we need in place there,
