Right now, everybody is nervous. Certainly, we're one of those teams. We have a worst-case scenario that we have been working on for several weeks and we have a best case and everything in between.

It can happen to anybody in this league, but I also think they're very, very good. We'll be a little nervous about playing them because they kind of overwhelmed us that first time.

We'd had three tough losses in a row and everybody was down. I think our players said to themselves: 'Our backs are up against the wall and we've got no other option other than just to win, and if we lose another game we're probably out.' So they kind of took it as this last stand, and it was that way every week . . .somehow we found a way to win those last five.

We have great chemistry, great character. Our goals would be to keep everybody -- the coaching staff, the players -- together and hopefully improve next year. We all feel like we've got something going here.

Being what we are, human beings, the natural tendency is that when everybody brags about you, they write good things, you kind of read about it and you back off a little bit. We couldn't play with them last time.

The thing I want to emphasize is this: We haven't done one thing that anybody else can't do. We have certain rules in the league. Here's the cap, here's the numbers, here's what you can spend. So everybody in the league can do what we're doing. It's just that many choose not to.

Somebody's going to get a real opportunity to play for us. There still may be a solid guy there (in free agency now or after the June 1 cuts) that we feel like might come up, but that's something everybody is concerned about.

Now I was joking, so I hope everybody in Dallas - because I've got a lot of buddies there - I hope they all took it as a joke. But to anybody that didn't, I apologized.

All of our guys thought he was on the ground. That's what everybody told me. I didn't see it, but that's what instant replay is for.

As a coach, you feel like you're letting everybody down,

I have to see how this all shakes out. We will see how everybody heals up, and I will sit and look at it and decide what we are going to do.

In times of biggest change, if you can keep your head and be the smartest, you may get a jump over everybody else. It's a challenge, but it's an opportunity, too.

He's protected the football, which is very important. I think he has made good decisions when things aren't there, which is really important. Everybody is going to hit something that's open. But when it's not there, Mark has played well.

Everybody at this point of the year is missing some starters. They took the Giants to overtime (on Dec. 11, and lost 26-23) and that's all you have to say.
