Let's call this what it is - it's a home game for the New York Giants. The league can say what it wants, but this is a home game for the Giants, not us.

It was very emotional for us. It feels real good because we know all they went through, all they lost. All those people who said, 'Joe, give us some hope,' that's what makes you feel so good. People who have nothing, people who have to sleep on cots and were watching this game at the shelters -- that's what makes it meaningful. We want to take that with us everywhere we go. That's why I came. I wanted to come and feel their heart. Now I can feel more comfortable about taking a flight to Carolina and trying to win a football game for these fans.

After the game you can take a shower, not have to rush to a bumpy plane ride back to San Antonio. You can go to a restaurant or sit back and relax or go out in the parking lot and have some barbecue. I'm sure it will be a great feeling for the guys.

It's cool we're in New York, but don't get me wrong, the Giants are playing a home game. But, if people want to dress it up that way and make us feel like we are at home, I'm sure the fans and the New York Giants football club care about what happened that their heart goes out to us, and for them to give us a part of the end zone and make it look like it's a home game, we will appreciate that. But we're also not crazy in knowing that it's a home game for the Giants.

I heard the stories from the people that came crying on my shoulder saying, 'Joe, I lost everything. I don't know where my son is. I don't know where my daughter is,' ... Right now they're in disarray. They're still trying to find their families. So I can't speak enough about how much my heart goes out to them. This game was for the fans.

We love the people around the nation who have poured out their hearts to us. We're going to do what we have to do to win football games. But the game is the game. Afterward, our focus is right back on New Orleans.
