The best way to help people is to see the best in them.

What am I doing with the gifts that have been given and the opportunities that are mine to make things better for others? I think it's always - success has to be beyond the person who is themselves working for personal success. It's also got to be helping someone else.

No one stands taller in the climb to success than when he bends over to help up someone else.

A successful person finds the right place for himself. But a successful leader finds the right place for others. Few things in life are better than seeing people realize their potential. If you invest in people by helping individuals improve themselves, showing them the way to their “right place”, they will never be the same again. And neither will you. What you give to help others, builds them up enough that they are able to give to others. It's a cycle that can continue on long after you're dead and gone.

I think many people believe the best way they can help others is to criticize them, to give them the benefit of their 'wisdom.' I disagree. The best way to help people is to see the best in them.

If you want to improve your world, then focus your attention on helping others.

What I did in the book, Today Matters is I tried to help a person make their day - every day - their masterpiece.

By the time I went to the pulpit, the vision was never on the same level as when God first gave it to me; it was clearer and bigger. It was better because the body of Christ complemented what God had given me. So when I gave the vision to the congregation, the influencers already bought it. Then after the people have heard my message, and migrate to the influencers, these influencers are already my allies and help me communicate the vision to the congregation.

The bottom line on attitude is that a good one helps to increase your possibilities. Pessimists usually get what they expect. So do optimists.

If you want to help others and become a person of influence, keep smiling, sharing, giving, and turning the other cheek.

Become a coach, not a king. A coach brings out the best in others, helping them to reach deep down inside and discover their potential. A king only gives commands.

I always find the greatest help I receive is from people who have been where I have been, but now they're no longer there.

One of the greatest values of mentors is the ability to see ahead what others cannot see and to help them navigate a course to their destination.
