I always felt like we were the underdogs. The girls just rose to the occasion. The girls never felt intimidated. We had some pretty good success. We put a lot of points on the board and it was really fun and challenging.

I said from that very first time that it gets in your blood. What's so special is you get to share it with a different set of girls now. That's what is so special.

Man, we had some opportunities there. We battled back and we never quit. To be down by that much and have an opportunity to win the game with under 10 seconds, that says a lot for the girls and how well we played defense at the end.

We've really had a rough couple of months of basketball and it's been tough and draining. I'm very proud of the girls because they've persevered. They've come out ready to play every night and they haven't had a letdown.

I'm really happy with the season. The girls battled all season. We're happy with second place. We're the second-best team in the state and we're proud of that.
