We took advantage of every break we got. We took advantage of our odd-numbered situations that we haven't previously taken advantage of in Game 3 and Game 4. The good chances they gave us, we made sure we finished. We made sure that we got them down when we had the opportunity.
Just to go in there and hack away at it is the key to that goal. And we stayed with it. It was easy to get frustrated after missing the amount of chances we missed. ... Just keep grinding, keep working.
I thought we got what we needed. We've gotten scoring chances out of them, they haven't been a liability when they've been on the ice, and they've had some punishing hits. Those guys have really served their purpose the last two games.
We really played a tremendous game. We gave up scoring chances because maybe we were a little too aggressive but that same aggressiveness won us a game.
We played a good third period. We probably had five or six real good chances when we had them on their heels, we had some great opportunities.
We were a little careless in our own zone, giving them some good chances in the first (period). We really bounced back in the last forty minutes.
The last three games we got three points. Our concern is we want to continue playing well. The number of chances we're creating again and shots we're getting is the game we want to play.
We got scored against on the few chances we gave up. We only got scored against because maybe we were too aggressive. That same aggressiveness won us the game. We dominated the third period, gave up one shot, and we didn't look back.
He's in on four or five chances every night. The odds right there aren't where they should be because he doesn't need that many chances. I think he's put a little pressure on himself to get the first marker on the board.
