He was disappointed. If he continues to pitch the way he's pitching now and stays healthy, he's going to have a lot of chances to throw shutouts. I think this late in the season, better safe than sorry is the way to go.
He got away with a couple of curveballs. He just spun it up there, didn't try to bury them. Hopefully, Felix realizes if he's going to throw that pitch, he has to throw it and not just spin it up there.
Tonight he was really good. He can get wild and throw a lot of balls. We tried to let him do that, but he didn't.
Seeing him throw like that gave me a warm feeling. I wish we had five more just like him.
He threw a lot of strikes and got a lot of ground balls. I really expected him to throw a complete game. But the Angels have an awfully good ballclub and you have to keep them down when they are down.
We might hold him back and just have him throw on the side. But we're not there yet.
It's good to have them throw together. I think they can learn from each other a little bit.
If he continues to pitch the way he did, then he'll have plenty of opportunities to throw shutouts.
