Our undoing was the first quarter. We allowed them to shoot 77 percent and that got them going. That didn't set a good tone for us. I know we can do better.

Dara has been swinging the bat real well, hitting the ball real hard. She's trying to get some good at-bats. She went with the pitch for the home run. She's doing a real nice job.

They have good chemistry; they seem to mesh really well. They play together a lot.

This was a big win in terms of the district, but it's a big win any time you beat a good quality team on their home court. We had a nice fourth quarter and we hit a lot of free-throws at the end ... and you know, this is what high school basketball is all about. The crowd was into it and it was close all the way through, and it was just a great ball game.
