What I've been telling everyone that loves Carolina football is that we are going to put a team out there that, number one, is in good shape. We're going to be fit, we are going to be able to play the whole game and we're not going to poop out.

Our coaches want to be a part of South Carolina football when they win it for the first time. When they win the division, when they win the SEC, win a major bowl game, etc. The opportunities to do it all for the first time here make it extra special.

Sidney Rice and Blake and all those guys had some super performances, ... Sidney, you know they're trying to stop him. He's close to unstoppable. Everybody's stoppable but he's some player. Little Kenny McKinley made a bunch of key catches all over the place. It was a fun game. This was big for our football program and the University of South Carolina. Hopefully we can gain some confidence and build on it, and not let it get to us.

When you're the head coach in college, the athletic director and president are your bosses, but they do not come in and tell you how to run the football program,

We've got some building to do. You guys know football as well as I do,

We're trying to make it a positive, ... We're trying to tell them . . . it's a big game for us. This is not just another game. This is a big game because we're in the national spotlight. We appreciate this opportunity, and let's take advantage of it. Let's try to show some high school kids out there what Carolina football is all about.

Their styles are very similar, ... He's learned a lot, he has a wonderful attitude and has tried to learn as much as he can. For a first-year quarterback in a brand new offense, he had a good night the other night.

It's called keeping up. We just need to be in line with the rest of the schools.

After being here, I can really appreciate how the Carolina people love football and love their team, ... They've paid their dues. I'm hoping they get a return real soon.

Everybody assumed that was the greatest college football down there. I think college football is excellent all over the country right now.
