I give a ton of credit to our guys for coming back. We were down early and we could've folded the tents, but we didn't allow that to happen.

Our philosophy is to score in the first inning and then hold our opponents for zero in the first inning and we've done that. We did that a couple of (games) ago and came out on the short end so I really want us to get up early in the game. We're not afraid to kick a couple of balls around early in games and get ourselves in a hole. We take so much pride in our defense, but for some reason, we're snake-bitten when we play at home.

I knew Kenny had a no-hitter, but his pitch count was getting up there. He was doing a great job, but it's early in the season and I didn't want to keep him in there too long.

Their kid threw the ball well as well. It was a true early season pitchers' battle.
