(Lee's) had a pretty hectic season, he's played nearly every game for Australia and he's done exceptionally well for us. He's bowled fast all the time so, once again, he's another one of those players that we're really going to have to manage a little bit, possibly a little bit better, in the future.

The decision on the make-up of the fast bowling quartet was not an easy one, given that we are without McGrath. We wanted a blend of pace, youth, experience and line and length and believe we have all of these covered with our selection. Tait is coming back from a shoulder injury and he's bowling at full pace so we're happy that the injury isn't hampering his bowling.

Brad Hodge can count himself unlucky not to be included. It is fair to say that the (selectors) were looking for Brad to put together some really big scores in (domestic first-class) cricket to consolidate his position in the test squad but unfortunately that hasn't happened. He can consider himself unlucky. We were looking for someone with a little more penetration. McGrath is almost impossible to replace so we had to look for a squad of fast bowlers to replace him.
